Work With Me

If you are here, I firstly want to say, I believe you and I am so sorry this happened to you!

I understand first hand that once you leave an abusive relationship it doesn't mean everything suddenly goes away. I understand those thoughts that go through your head, 'was it really that bad, did I make it worse than it was' or 'I can't believe I didn't see it'. All of these feelings and emotions are normal, OK and welcomed here.

Once the abuse has ended, the natural and normal conclusion is that everything is going to be OK now, that it will go back to how it was before, but the tiredness is still there, the nightmares still happen, you run it through your head over and over. The self doubt is still there, yet you are showing up in the world, with a smile on your face, believing this should have all ended, but your body hasn't forgotten.

I spent years walking alongside woman after abuse, I have seen the way it affected them. The self doubt, their confidence low or gone, seeing them struggle with knowing what they need or want and struggling to ask for it.

This is why I created Anchored in Faith, not to replace services or therapy, but to compliment it, to work alongside it, to hold a space for woman to gain more clarity, find their self belief again, find their confidence again, their voice even.

This space was created for you!

How We Work Together.

I offer private one to one support for woman (21+), who have experienced a previous domestic abuse relationship and are ready to focus on themselves, working towards more clarity to move forward.

Our sessions will start with a pause and connect call discovery call to ensure this is the right space for you, this is to help me to understand a little more about what you want and for you to find out if I am right for you too.

Sessions are;

  • Weekly sessions, that are private one to one sessions, lasting 60 minutes, held online
  • Led by you, with actionable goals you implement right away.
  • Practical, reflective and compassionate
  • Full of cheerleading, I love to celebrate the wins with you too!

My Approach

My approach is shaped by;

  • Years of working in the field of domestic abuse.
  • Supporting woman through risk, recovery and rebuilding.
  • Coaching principles that focus on choice, forward thinking and identity
  • Ongoing learning around stress responses and the nervous system.

I may gently explain why certain reactions make sense, (like hyper alertness, exhaustion or emotional overwhelm) but will always try and explain everything in a way that is easy to understand, not medical or overwhelming. We may also bring in breathing techniques to help the body reset again.

You will not be diagnosed.
